National Poetry Writing Month (pt. 4)

So, somewhere along the way I decided that I would just write a rhyming couplet a day for this month. I still intend to write a ghazal, but that might not happen for sometime.

National Poetry Writing Month (pt. 1)

Fair Warning: I am no poet. I took a poetry class once. On the last day my professor called me her most improved student. It was such a nice compliment until she followed it with “I don’t know what you were writing at the beginning of the semester, but it sure as hell wasn’t poetry.”

The goal of national poetry writing month is to write a poem a day. I intend to explore some more complicated forms of poetry and take the assignment a bit more seriously, but in the mean time here are some silly rhyming couplets about each of the days so far.
